Cool TV and Wazobia TV to Launch October 1
After 30 months of planning, building and installing state of the art equipment to ensure a smooth take-off, all is now set for the official launch of twin Tv stations, Cool TV and Wazobia TV.
Cool TV Channel 195 and Wazobia TV Channel 196 respectively on Star Times, are set to begin test transmissions on October 1, 2014.
With everything expected to go well for both stations however, full scale operations have been slated to kick off on November 1, 2014.
In a chat with NET, Amin Moussalli, Group MD of AIM Group Ltd, owners of Cool FM, Wazobia FM and Naija Info said:
‘Our dream is to beam from the moon, We believe that we are in for a change in TV Broadcasting, we are passionate about it and are faithful to our destiny.’
Speaking on why they choose to begin the test transmission on Nigeria’s Independence Day ‘October 1,’ he said
‘Our Independence Day is dear to us and we want to tag our new milestone with October 1, like we did for Cool FM, Wazobia FM and Nigeria Info FM. For record purposes, we began the TV project in the first week of January 2012.’
The new broadcast stations boasts of 3 newly built state-of-the-art transmission studios with lighting, acoustics, cameras and Master Control Rooms while the radio studios of Cool, Wazobia and Nigeria Info FM have also been refurbished and pre-equipped for the live transmissions.
Come October 4, CoolFm 96.9 will also be celebrating its 16th year anniversary with a star-studded concert at Rhapsody’s, Victoria Island, Lagos.
