Rio 2016 Olympics: Nigeria’s U-23 Team beat Denmark, to face Germany in semi-final

Nigeria’s U-23 team, on Saturday defeated Denmark 2-0, to qualify for the semi-final of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
Captain of the side, Mikel John Obi, opened scoring early in the first half, following superb wing play from Imoh Ezekiel.

Although the Nigerians allowed Denmark back into the game, they were able to score a decisive second goal. Mikel Obi’s corner kick was glanced in by Aminu Umar.


Samson Siasia’s men will now take on an in-form Germany team in the semi-final of the competition.
