Vic Mensa - Rowdy Ft. G Herbo

Vic Mensa has taken a few licks in the public eye, finding himself at odds with the Floridian rap scene at large, among other factions. Yet the hate seemed only to fuel the young Chicago rapper, sending him further into the dark side. As a result, Mensa found himself switching up his look, opting for what some have described as “Gothic Chic,” or “Gangrel Couture.” Yet don’t let the sinister appearance fool you; Mensa has yet to forsake his gangsta ways. In fact, his aggression has seemingly tripled since we’ve last heard him. Case in point, the G Herbo assisted “Rowdy.”

In truth, the single plays to Vic’s strength, combining a solid flow with a sense of Chicago-bred authenticity. “Where you at, on 47, that’s where we reppin,” spits Mensa, “fu-Ck the number after 11!” From that point on, Mensa works himself into a fervor, delivering heated bars that might convince the skeptics.
