Uyo —IN line with the vision of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s led administration policy of developing the agricultural sector, the Ministry of Agriculture, has solicited for collaboration with research centres.

The state Commissioner for Agriculture and Mineral Resources Mr. Matthew Ekaette made the call at the maiden seminar organised by Centre for Wetlands and Waste Management Studies, CWWMS, University of Uyo, yesterday.

Ekaette, said that the state government was willing and ready to partner research centres that will come up with innovations to improve the agric sector in the state.

Ekaette who was represented by the Director in-charge of Fisheries, Mr. Uwe Bassey, explained said that the need to diversify the state economy became necessary following the dwindling oil revenue.
