Here are some exclusive photos obtained from inside the Chad-bound Russian cargo plane carrying arms and ammunition that was seized at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport yesterday morning.

The Nigerian authorities have seized an Antonov Cargo aircraft at Kano airport carrying weapons and other military hardware according to an official statement from the Nigerian Military Defence Headquarters.

“An Antonov Cargo aircraft carrying some military hardware was arrested at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in the early hours of Saturday 6th Dec. 2014,” reads the statement. “Investigation is ongoing to determine the content and the origin of the aircraft. Further details would be made as soon as the investigation is completed.”
