Kano Pillars to receive £800,000 from Ahmed Musa’s move to Leicester City

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Kano Pillars, are set to receive a £800,000 windfall, as training compensation for Ahmed Musa’s summer move to Premier League champions, Leicester City.
The Foxes paid £18million to Russian club, CSKA Moscow, for the services of the Super Eagles forward in the close season, making him their record the .

Musa played for Pillars during the 2009/2010 season, when he set a new all-time goals record of 18 in the NPFL.


“Pillars are due part of the training compensation from the sale of Ahmed Musa to Leicester City,” an official told AfricanFootball.

Musa’s former clubs, CSKA and VVV Venlo, will also benefit from this pay-out.

However, his first club in Nigeria, JUTH FC, will not be part of this payment, as they have become defunct.

The 23-year-old has made four Premier League appearances so far for Claudio Ranieri’s men and is yet to score.
