Though his indie rock band Celestial Shore was known for their spastic energy and time-signature-defying guitar lines, singer/guitarist Sam Evian has pursued a more peaceful path under his nom de plume Sam Evian.
His 2016 Saddle Creek debut, Premium, veered toward the plush soft-rock of Serge Gainsbourg and the vacuum-sealed production of John Lennon’s solo records, and the first single from his follow-up, You, Forever, eagerly doubles down on such 1970s tropes.
