Let's strike up a quick build here. In the past few years, when was the last time we, as rap fans, were blessed with an on-wax battle that, for better or worse, benefited the culture. Go ahead, we'll wait.

If you mentioned that Drakeversus Meek Mill"beef," you might as well just hand over your pass now. Although it created enough buzz to get people talking — it failed to make a true impact on the culture when compared with other on-wax beefs in the past. Am I being blasé about the whole thing? Perhaps. Color me jaded. Whatever.

Nearly a month ago, Westside Gunn had a few wordsfor Marvelous Magand the rest of the #TheWinners clique.

Obviously, the whole thing was all in fun (Marv and Gunn are actually acquaintances in real life), and it definitely got the internets talking.
