We are still in the NPFL title race – Enyimba coach, Aigbogun

Head coach of Enyimba, Paul Aigbogun, has insisted his team are right back in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title race, after their 2-1 win over Akwa United last weekend.
The reigning champions have not performed up to expectations this season, but are just six points adrift of top spot.

Enyimba have also played one game less than leaders, Wikki Tourists.


Aigbogun has now made it clear, that his players will not stop fighting as they try to defend their league crown.

“We are still in the running not just in the league but also in the Federation Cup,” he told SuperSport.

“We will take one game as it comes and what I can assure the fans is that we will give one hundred percent in every game that we play.

“By the grace of God it will work out fine in the end.”


Enyimba are currently sixth with 48 points from 29 matches.
