The fantasy trophy is just two victories away for the Classes of 1987, 1988, 1992 and 1993, while Gareth Bale, Hulk, Andres Iniesta and Franck Ribery's teams have been eliminatedThere were no major shocks in the Yearbook Battle quarter-finals as each of the favourites muscled their way into the last four of the fantasy tournament.

The Yearbook Battle pits the best players born in each year between 1981 and 1996 against one another in a tournament decided by Goal readers.

Lionel Messi's Class of 1987 continued its rampant form by picking up 78 per cent of the vote in their quarter-final with Andres Iniesta's Class of 1984.

Messi's Barcelona team-mate Neymar is also in the last four with his Class of 1992 swatting aside Hulk and Co. in the 1986 team with 76% of the final vote in their favour.

Paul Pogba remains in transfer window limbo ahead of his expected €110 million move to Manchster United, but his Class of 1993 were assertive in their clash with the Class of 1983, claiming a 4% lead over opponents 10 years their senior.

The fourth and final spot in the Yearbook Battle semi-finals went to Mesut Ozil's Class of 1988, who made light work of Cristiano Ronaldo's vanquishers, Gareth Bale's Class of 1989, with a huge 80% of the total tally.
