Chelsea ready to hijack Arsenal’s transfer move for Bayer Leverkusen and former Manchester United star Javier Hernandez – report

Chelsea are ready to ruin Arsenal’s plans to sign former Manchester United star Javier Hernandez, according to reports.

The Blues have joined the race to land the Mexican attacker who has scored 19 goals for Bayer Leverkusen this season.

Hernandez has found a new lease of life for the Bundesliga side this season after being let go by Louis van Gaal.

And Chelsea are ready to add to Van Gaal’s misery by bringing Hernandez back to the Premier League, according to Don Balon.

Arsenal were believed to be the favourites to land him in January but the Blues are confident they can lure him to Stamford Bridge.

If he does come back to the Premier League, it would be likely to anger United fans who believed he had a role to play at Old Trafford this season.
