See The Leaked Picture Of The Samsung Galaxy S8 Set To Be Unveiled Soon
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is probably the most anticipated gadget of the year.
It will be Samsung's first major phone release since the Galaxy Note 7 and one of the biggest Android handsets for the next twelve months.
A new picture revealed by tech site VentureBeat purports to show the finished design of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The site has also pegged the final release date for the phone as March 29.
The Galaxy S8 marks a number of big changes - notably the removal of the physical home button that has been with the series since the Galaxy S2 back in 2011.
As a result, Samsung has allegedly moved the fingerprint scanner around to the back of the phone - similar to the Google Pixel.
Like the iPhone, it will also be released in two sizes. There will be a standard 5.8-inch screen version and then a larger 6.2-inch screen model.
While those screen sizes are significantly bigger than the iPhone's 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch options, the actual handset itself shouldn't be much larger.
That's because, according to th VentureBeat , the phones will have an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a truly edge-to-edge display.
Samsung will also be loading the phones with Google's latest version of Android.
The South Korean company will need to make the phones efficient because the rumours are that it will stick with a 3,000mAh battery (3500mAh for the larger version) that will have to power the massive screen.
