UNILORIN dean dies the same day he was to receive his PhD award

Ph.D graduand of University of Ilorin, and lecturer, Dr. AbdulHafeez Adedimeji, has died.

Dr. AbdulHafeez died early hours of Saturday, October 22, the same day he was to receive his PhD Honours at the University of Ilorin.

The deceased had paid for and obtained his academic gown for Saturday’s ceremony. He even drove his children to school Friday morning but died Saturday.

The Dean of the university’s Post Graduate School, Badmas Yussuf, announced the demise of the graduand while inviting the 166 graduands receiving doctoral degrees of the institution to come forward for the Vice-Chancellor’s handshake.

Until his death, he was the Chief Imam Of Fountain University Osogbo and a lecturer.
