Last week, media personality Khanyi Mbau’s boyfriend, Tebogo Lerole, shared an image of the star in a hospital bed along with well wishes but no word as to why she was there.

The actress then claimed to be in the hospital to get her summer body ready.

In a subsequent Instagram post however, the star released she was in a lot of “pain”.


She then attended her cousin’s wedding a day after being discharged from the hospital and thanked designer Matome Seshoka of Antherline for covering up her bandages.


Khanyi wrote: “I was in [the] hospital a day before my cousin’s wedding, I got discharged and was told to stay in bed, I didn’t, I couldn’t… I left my bed got dressed did my face and left. I was in so much pain and discomfort the whole day but I couldn’t let him down on such a big day. I braved it.
@antherline I am so Grateful NONKE.. you managed to cover up all my bandages and dressing with a dress you made in 20 mins. I am honestly grateful for making me feel beautiful even though the pain was real… THANK YOU SOOO MUCH #family”

In another Instagram post, Mbau stated that she will be revealing all on the ‘Scoop’ at 9pm on SABC3.
