Oga Boss ILLBLiSS Set To Release New Album #POWERFUL In July

Tobechukwu ‘ILLBLISS’ Ejiofor (popularly known as Oga Boss) is set to release his Third Studio Album, aptly titled ‘POWERFUL’. The 16 track hip hop masterpiece is scheduled for a July 2015 Release, under the successful CAPital/Goretti Joint imprint.

2014 experienced a handful of impactful and commercially successful singles from the hip hop heavyweight, most notably the title cut ‘ Powerful’ (featuring iLLYs protégé Chidinma),Bank Alerts!,WTF!(Featuring Olamide) and the socially conscious ‘ Different Kind Of War’.
ILLBLISS also released his critically acclaimed Boom bap rap EP with his long running collaborator/producer XYZ which was also well received and which spun classic joints like ‘IdiChe’ , ‘OsadeBe’ to mention a few.
ILLY got back in the lab mid last year to commence recording the new album , two years after releasing his sophomore titled ‘Oga Boss’.

On the new project, he collaborated with major heavy weights WizKid (Many Men), The Limpopo King KCee(L.O.V.E.Y.O.U. Remix) Hiphop Dancehall Phenomenon Cynthia Morgan(JAMO), Olamide( WTF Remix) to mention a few. The Street Banger ( ‘Bank Alerts’ Remix) also featured hip hop heavy weights Ice Prince Zamani, Phyno and Eva Alordiah.

Sonically, The POWERFUL Album is a rich and well balanced collage of various sound bites, ranging from highlife to TrapMusic to Boombap to Afro Beat, yet totally Nigerian and ethnically relevant.
The album is so perfectly woven together with diverse themes & subjects ranging from the aspirations and glamourous lifestyle of a Nigerian rap star, Love and relationships, Politics and social commentary, as well as life‘s experiences and introspection. Indeed,POWERFUL is a Grown man’s rap album and ILLY is a man’s man…. A rapper’s Rapper….

Overall Production, sound engineering and mastering was supervised by David Peter (popularly Known as Tha Suspect), with amazing production input from Young D, Zei & Mutay Of Legendury Beatz, ThaSuspect, Major Bangz, Beat-MakerTunex, TonyRoss, YungTite and XYZ.

The Album is marketed and Distributed locally By UBA PACIFIC, responsible for past projects from Phyno (NGNG), Olamide, Wizkid (AYO), Davido (OBO) Etc.
