Ex Minister Of Labor & Productivity, Hussaini Akwanga Has Been Abducted By Unknown Gunmen

Unknown gunmen have abducted a former Minister of Labor and Productivity, Hussaini Akwanga, at his farm on Wamba road in Akwanga community in Nassarawa state on Tuesday, August 22nd. The former Minister served during former president Olusegun Obasanjo's administration but was removed on December 4th, 2003, after he was indicted in a $214 million national identity card scam.


The Nassarawa state police command's spokesperson, Kennedy Idirisu, who confirmed the abduction, said the police are working towards the safe return of the former minister. The abductors have reportedly contacted the family members and have demanded a ransom.
