The Next Episode is a gangsta rap single by American rapper Dr. Dre, from his second studio album, 2001 (1999). It features Snoop Dogg, Kurupt and Nate Dogg, but only Snoop Dogg is officially credited.

The Dr. Dre and Mel-Man produced track was released on July 4, 2000 as the third single from the album.

The single’s title refers back to Dre and Snoop’s classic colossal hit Nuthin’ But a “G” Thang, from Dre’s 1992 solo debut album The Chronic, in which Snoop Dogg instructs the audience at the end of the chorus to “just chill, ’til the next episode”.

The Next Episode reached its peak on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number twenty-three but performed better on the UK Singles chart where it reached the number three spot.

In the US, the single has obtained a 3x platinum certification while being certified gold in several other countries.
