No Matter What is a song from the 1996 musical Whistle Down the Wind composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
It became popular when Irish boyband Boyzone released a pop version in 1998 which they recorded to tie in with the show’s first UK production; and housed on their third studio album Where We Belong. The song was also featured on the US edition of the soundtrack to the 1999 motion picture Notting Hill.
It was released on August 3, 1998, topping the UK Singles Chart and many charts across Europe. It was also the only hit by the band to become popular in the US, peaking at Number 12 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
