The song was released by Sony and Epic Records as the second single from the album on January 14, 1997, receiving commercial and critical praise from fans and critics alike.
It reached the Number 6 spot on the US Billboard Hot 100, Number 3 on the UK R&B chart and Number 8 in New Zealand.
Under its belt is also a nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 40th Grammy Awards in 1998 which it lost to Elton John’s Candle in the Wind.
