Holiday is a dance-pop song by American singer Madonna, from her 1983 eponymous debut studio album Madonna. It was written by Curtis Hudson and Lisa Stevens, and produced by John “Jellybean” Benitez.
The track was released as the third single from the album on September 7, 1983, reaching the number-two spot on the UK Singles chart while topping the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, thanks to the infectious tune of the melody.
The single has been certified gold in the United States and the United Kingdom, and is regarded as Madonna’s signature song.
