Career

Baba Rahman’s career started at Dreams FC in the Ghana Division Two. Due to his outstanding performances, he was later loaned to Asante Kotoko in the Ghanaian Premier League for a season. In 2012, Rahman was a finalist for the Discovery of the Year Award in the league, but unfortunately, he lost to Joshua Oninku.

Rahman joined Greuther Fürth, a German Bundesliga club, in 2012 without any transfer fee. With his impressive performance, he became a regular starter for the team and played in 34 matches during his debut season. Additionally, Rahman played a significant role in Fürth’s success as they secured promotion to the Bundesliga in his second season with the club.

Rahman’s impressive performances in the Bundesliga caught the attention of several top European clubs, leading to his move to Chelsea in 2015 for a fee of £14 million, which could potentially rise to £22 million.
